Bamboo is an exquisite component of landscape design. In Europe, bamboo has been used as an ornamental for over 150 years. Hundreds of species are suitable for garden use:
Dwarf bamboo can be employed in many and varied ways. Many gardeners use them as foregrounding plantings. Different in size, leaf patterns and colors brings people many aesthetic possibilities.
Most medium-sized bamboo ranging from six to eight feet possess a mounding mass of leaves and very little culms showing. They can be used for foundation plantings, low hedges and fillers.
With its huge proportion, timber bamboos provide impressive height and thick heard culms. They furnish shade, wind break and acoustical barriers.
